Carter Hill is a tall two-story, three bay frame Colonial Revival residence with Flemish-bond brick veneer built in 1921-1922. The house's roof, covered with green-glazed terra cotta tiles, features pedimented and hipped dormer windows.The interior of Carter Hill features two main living levels, plus a full-height basement and a large attic. Woodwork throughout the four principle first floor rooms (parlor, library, dining room and master bedroom) is of varnished oak.and each room has a working fireplace with tiger-grain oak mantels.. The kitchen and butler's pantry were updated to today's standards. The master bedroom on the first floor was modified to add a half bath in addition to a full bath. The second floor has 5 bedrooms, the fifth originally used as a servants bedroom accessed by the back staircase. Two full bathrooms are on the second floor. The upstairs hallway opens to a conservatory leading to the upstairs balcony. Carter Hill is on the National Registry of Historic Places
