The Hewitt Valley portion of the Ranch features open fields with scattered live oak trees and is very scenic. Remaining portions of the ranch are steep land with scattered blue oak trees and brush covered areas that provide habitat for many small game species. Some of these species that can be hunted include blacktail deer, doves, quail and wild boar.
